Once his son is murdered in order to accomplish this, he’ll only pass along tickets to heaven to people who believe all this, and forgive them for any sin—even murder, but he won’t forgive skeptics of this nonsense, even if they live virtuous lives, making the lives of everyone around them better. Gullibility the becomes the only real virtue, and skepticism the only real sin. And consider also, that a great many people have been killed in the history of Christianity if they couldn’t believe even some of this.
